Wayne Stewart is a Kentucky-born author whose life has been shaped by resilience, hard work, and a firsthand understanding of how dramatically circumstances can change a person’s path. Born a twin in Monticello, Kentucky, he experienced family separation and adoption early in life before growing up in Huntington, West Virginia, where he graduated from Huntington East High School in 1982.

Before becoming an author, Wayne cut tobacco, baled hay, drove and dispatched taxicabs, worked as a chauffeur, and served in the professional black-car industry. Those experiences introduced him to people from many walks of life and now inform stories centered on ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances.

His fiction spans science fiction, adventure, prison drama, coming-of-age comedy, rural adventure, comics, and adult fiction. Across every genre, he returns to one guiding belief: “Every story has a bit of truth in it.”
